美国数学学会（American Mathematical Society，简称AMS）创建于1888年，多年来一直致力于促进全球数学研究的发展及其应用。
MathSciNet收录全世界250多家专业出版社的2000余种期刊、数十万种图书及会议文献的索引，详细标引了每篇文章的机构、分类，并对作者署名做消歧，同时构建了数学领域较权威的引文数据库。
