Corporate Development Program, Asia
Apply the knowledge gained in business school during Liberty International Corporate Development Program - Asia (CDP - Asia). In this two-year rotational development program, which consists of 3-4 cross-functional rotations, you will strengthen your business and management capabilities and work directly with a Senior Executive to select assignments based on your individual background and career aspirations. Assignments are aligned with key business initiatives and located in our Asia country offices and US Corporate office. Immediate Responsibility
In this program, you’ll have immediate responsibility in each of your assignments which will be in cross-
functional areas in field operations, strategic business units (SBUs), or corporate departments.
Past assignments have included:
Operations – Led a steering committee to complete activities related to opening a new branch office in China. Assisted in obtaining authorization to open the branch. Built and maintained good communication with government, supervising departments, partners and executive leadership. Analyzed local market and understood how to position products. Managed the committee to deliver project within expected timeframe and financials.
Underwriting – Analyzed needs of stakeholders and developed a strategy that implemented several IT systems to automate the underwriting process and provide customers with enhanced functionality and value added services. Worked with actuary team to review motor rating structure and provided recommended changes which maximized profits and hit/renewal ratios.
Claims – Led a five person team to launch a LEAN transformation project for claims in Thailand. Spent two weeks in each claims department to analyze current processes and train the staff on how to implement lean methodology. The project reduced leakage, improved efficiency and customer service through the continuous process improvement initiative.
Marketing – Conducted research on direct marketing to assess direct channel opportunities. Designed a direct marketing model that included an entry strategy and implementation plan. Developed a CRM strategy that used a cross-functional team to conduct research, evaluate and select vendor software, and facilitate the implementation.
During the program you’ll receive guidance from senior executives to help you identify appropriate business groups and projects that meet your interests and kick-start your career.
In Asia, Liberty International operates in China, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, with a mix of established businesses and new start-ups. We are looking for candidates from Asian universities who will work on assignments in any of our country operations as well as the US.
This role is hired specifically for our China operations due to our growth plans. At the conclusion of the program, the incumbent will likely be based in China.
Qualifications:
An MBA or related Master’s degree
A competitive GPA
Work experience in China, Singapore or Thailand with fluency in an Asian language
Three to five years relevant business experience
Demonstrated superior business judgment and financial acumen; effective analytic and integrative thinking; strong leadership skills, including project ownership; and effective stakeholder communications and relations
A commitment to a management career in a corporate setting
Willingness to travel or relocate during and upon completion of the program

CDP participants will have to be in Boston from 15th – 19th July for orientation
The latest start date for the program is on 15th August
Interview Process:
First Round : Behaviorial Based Interview with HR / Program Manager
Second Round : Behaviorial Based Interview with Line Managers and Case Study
Third Round : Executive Interviews with Country President and Regional COO
