Synopsis

EF Education First, the world leader in international education, is looking for a Center General Manager to manage the overall performance of an EF English Center servicing the Chinese marketplace. The depth of your entrepreneurial spirit will dictate your success in managing a P&L, recruiting and maintaining a high-performing cross-functional staff and creating a high quality experience for students.
The Role
As Center General Manager, you are ultimately responsible for an EF English Center’s staff, customer and business performance. Through your leadership, you will establish a service-oriented and collaborative culture that inspires staff and students alike. Your position will be very hands-on, involving plenty of customer interaction and daily problem-solving. You will be responsible for customer acquisition through referrals and retention of current students, a direct reflection of consumer satisfaction. Simultaneously, you will also manage an operating budget, maintaining your center’s financial health and adherence to compliance processes. Regional and national teams will serve as a resource to you for determining and maintaining consistency in product and service delivery, and will help in your constant strive to improve your overall business. Definitively, you will be a leader with comprehensive responsibilities in running and growing a meaningful business in a dynamic market.

Requirements
- Academic degree from a top college / university, MBA preferred
- Proven leadership and management experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong organizational and Chinese/English communication skills
- Exceptional analytical & problem solving skills
- Stellar aptitude in thinking on your feet, and making smart and fast decisions
- A passion for travel, education and language learning
