Global Services Leadership Development Program

 
 
The Global Services Leadership Development Program is a rotational program consisting of three, 9-month assignments. These assignments will incorporate the major components of the Global Services organization. This program is designed to strengthen your technical, business and leadership skills by working with experienced leaders within Global Services, advanced leadership training through EMCU and on the job experience.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development/management of project plans.
  • Works closely with project manager(s) to ensure that milestones are being met and project is on track and assumes reasonability for the completion and success of the project.
  • Provides analysis, recommendations and documentation to resolve business-related issues.
  • Engages cross functional colleagues in decision-making when additional input is required.
  • Analyzes business problems and creates solution process/functional design/system solutions.
  • Monitors customer feedback to identify areas to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Builds relationships with business leaders and peers to establish a network over the course of the 24 months.
  • Performs other duties as required.

    Example Rotations:
    Customer Quality Group: Support TCE Analytics through building financial models leveraging Voice of Customer data and performing risk analysis on product quality. Interview stakeholders on the topic of Serviceability to create Serviceability Metric Catalog. Assist in the development of the Voice of the Partner program to pilot at EMC World and measure partner interactions, perceptions, and experiences. Consult with customers on adopting EMC best practices. Assist in the creation of best practices and procedures for our Federal customers.
    GS Product Services: Assist GST 3.0 Economics of Service work stream by analyzing current process for setting and measuring service targets. Indentify gaps or inefficiencies in current target setting approach and establish next steps and/or new approach. Develop and release excel based tools for conducting what/if analysis. Streamline input and improve validation for success metrics. Automate calculation and scoring to ensure performance is consistent with GSPS charter of xAbility, Service Readiness, and TCE.
    CSS Service Provider Program/Utah Site Development:Develop new approach to Service Provider support through research and interviews with SPs to better understand their needs. Utah site development including employee site database creation, capacity planning, and establishing multi-lingual support to Latin American countries as well as second and third shift support.
    EMEA CSS Field Operations:Work with 3rdparty consultant to establish framework for a Service Managers Academy. Research industry best practices to create training modules in order to deliver a consistent message to all EMEA Service Managers. Create EMEA Service Manager Central Repository. Define hypothesis and analysis approach for EMEA Escalation Workload Study through interviewing and shadowing EMEA Global Customer Support Managers. Provide Escalation and Service Readiness break down.
    Presales Solutions Development: Act as Presales lead for the deployment of Salesforce.com initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project scoping, design, and implementation phases. Facilitate field training sessions and demonstrations across all theaters. Collaborate with Education Services on development of quarterly accreditation training. Develop quarterly adoption metrics and goals, as well as measure and report on metrics to leadership team on a monthly basis.
    Consulting Delivery Operations:Lead the creation of APJ margin predictor used to increase profitability for EMC Consulting. Create formal process for adding or making a change to an existing consulting model, service line, or competency to increase efficiency and highlight potential bottlenecks and problem areas. Consolidate multiple pricing tools into a master, worldwide pricing tool and assist with testing to create a seamless delivery.

    Plans, monitors and manages internal projects, programs, or administrative systems from initiation through completion.
