Good news pouring in about SUIBE Applied Economics research papers

A number of SUIBE’s research papers on Applied Economics have been published on authoritative overseas and domestic journals this year, as the university embraced on a new journey of building itself into a high-level university in Shanghai and became a PhD-granting unit.

Pay for performance schemes and manufacturing worker productivity: Evidence from a kinked design in China by co-authored by Associate Professor Jiang Wei with the School of International Business and Economics and his partners was officially accepted by the Journal of Environmental Economics, a top international journal of environmental economics,and published online in February this year.  

The paper The impact of air pollution on movie theater admissions co-authored by Associate Professor He Xiaobo with the School of International Business and Economics and his partnerswas accepted by the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, another top international journal of environmental economics, and published online this February. 

The paper Long-term impacts of school nutrition: Evidence from China's school meal reform by lecturer Fang Guanfu with the School of International Business and Economics and his co-authors was published on World Development, a leading journal of development economics.

  The paper Media Promotion, Intellectual Property Protection and Enterprise Innovation by Professor He Huanlang and Associate Professor Zhang Tao with the School of International Business and Economics and their co-authors, and the paper Comprehensive Opening to the World and Coordinated Regional Development: Based on Value Chain Interaction Perspective by Assistant Researcher Yu Lili of the Institute of International Economics and Trade and her co-authors, were published onthe first issue this year of the prestigious Chinese journal of domestic economic disciplines, World Economy. Tie Ying, Associate Researcher with the Institute of International Economics and Trade, and her co-authors' paper Trade Intermediation, Information Asymmetry and Unstable Export Relations was published in China Industrial Economy, a Chinese prestigious journal in economics.
