SUIBE president Wang Rongming led a delegation to Changsha, Hunan province for investigation on March 2 and 3.
On the first day of his trip, SUIBE signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Department of Commerce of Hunan province and the two had a symposium. According to the agreement, the two sides will promote pragmatic cooperation on scientific research cooperation (think tank construction), high-level training, global economic governance talent training, alumni resource integration and other aspects related to free trade zone and open economy.
At the symposium, Shen Yumou, director of the Department of Commerce of Hunan province and executive deputy director of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Office, hoped that through cooperation, the two sides would further promote higher-level and higher-standard rule-based and institutional opening up, boost opening up driven by knowledge innovation, and make full use of SUIBE's research results to advance cooperation on talent training and alumni resources.
Wang introduced the characteristics and advantages of SUIBE focusing on its university-locality cooperation. He said that the two sides enjoy broad prospects of cooperation, as they share similar ethos and cultures, see complementary advantages, and match each other on their respective supply and demand. He hoped that the two sides could stay committed to high-quality development, focus on the new development stage of China, implement the new development philosophy, and serve the building of a new development paradigm, so as to achieve win-win development.
During the trip, the SUIBE delegation also visited the Changsha area of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (including Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone), Hunan International Business Vocational College and Changsha WES Academy.
