古语云：智者乐水，仁者乐山。今人曰：美者乐花，静者乐草。2020年11月27日正值上海深秋初冬之际，外语学院工会举办了插花表演和学习活动，请教职工们亲近花草、与鲜花面对面。
下午一点，老师们走进摆满了鲜花、绿草、花泥、花篮的校工会活动室，团团围坐，首先听花艺师介绍花艺的流派、欧式插花步骤、插花选材、当日鲜花的品种和花语、如何选择花礼等。接着，花艺师现场表演和讲解插花，老师们也随之亲自动手、挑选心仪的花篮，以各自的解读和审美开始精心布局、巧手插花。时间在流逝，但是在绿草的烘托下、鲜花的清香中，老师们忘记了时间的存在、工作的压力和生活的烦恼，眼里、心里只有那花香与花美。
最后，大家抱着自己满意的插花作品——鲜花与花篮，展露笑颜，与花艺师合影留恋。一小时的活动虽然结束了，但是花性之平等、清净、知足、知恩、自爱、慎独的精神，让我们有了领略和感悟。

我是大自然的话语，大自然说出来，又收回去，藏在心间，然后又说一遍……
我是星星，从苍穹坠落在绿茵中。
我是诸元素之女：冬将我孕育，春使我开放，夏让我成长，秋令我昏昏睡去。
我是亲友之间交往的礼品，我是婚礼的冠冕，我是生者赠予死者最后的祭献。
清早，我同晨风一道光明欢迎；傍晚，我又与群鸟一起为它送行。
我在原野上摇曳，使原野风光更加旖旎；我在清风中呼吸，使清风芬芳馥郁。我微睡时，黑夜星空的千万颗亮晶晶的眼睛对我察看；我醒来时，白昼的那只硕大无朋的独眼向我凝视。
我饮着朝露酿成的琼浆，听着小鸟的鸣啭、歌唱；我婆娑起舞，芳草为我鼓掌。我总是仰望高空，对光明心驰神往；我从不顾影自怜，也不孤芳自赏。而这些哲理，人类尚未完全领悟。
